About the Author
Allen studied in college and university to be a park naturalist, someone who helps people learn about the flora and fauna of our national parks. His career took a different path, but on his academic journey, he became fascinated by the vivid symbolism of “creepy-crawlies” in scripture and realized that no one had ever written a comprehensive book about the variety and importance of their roles in the Bible. To fill this gap, Allen has spent the last thirty years doing extensive research in most branches of natural science plus ancient history, and the languages of the Old and New Testaments. With his love of science, history, and the Bible, I Am a Worm combines them in a useful, jargon-free way for others to reflect with shared wonder.
